All the team at Northern Cross Dental are proud to announce that our practice has been nominated in 6 categories for the Irish Dentist Awards 2013. We were short listed in the following categories:
– Best Patient Care
– Best Specialist Practice
– Best Dental Team
– Best Employer
– Best Website
– Practice of the Year
This is the second year that Ireland have had the Dentist Awards so it is still new and exciting. The award ceremony will take place in the Mansion House on 1st February 2013. All the dental practices that were short listed will attend and the winners will be announced on the night. It would be nice to win at least 1 award however, even to be short listed and our practice to be recognised is an honour. We, at Northern Cross Dental work as a team every day to ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of care, in a caring and friendly environment and we are proud of all our team members and our practice as to be nominated is an achievement in itself.
We will keep you all updated and inform you if we win. Fingers crossed!
One of our lovely team members, Petra, moved house recently and she kindly invited us over for a house warming last weekend.
She had everything laid out from grapes and cheese to chicken curry. The weather was really nice so we spent most of the evening out the back, where we enjoyed our jelly and ice-cream. Another fun filled Northern Cross Dental team night out!
Thanks for a lovely evening Petra
Our Orthodontist, Dr. Kieran Daly, was recently on a lingual course in Austria, where he met the team from Orthorobot. He was very impressed with the technique they used for taking their before, during and after patient photographs, that he invited them over to Northern Cross Dental for a demonstration.
We met Sylvia and the gang from Austria last Friday when they came to our practice and we spent the day learning how to take excellent patient photographs. It was actually a fun day and we all had a lovely lunch together.
Kieran spent the weekend showing the Austrian gang around Dublin. They had lovely weather for the whole weekend and on Saturday night, they enjoyed Riverdance in the Olympia. They had a great time in Dublin and gave our team lovely compliments about how well we all work together.
Our orthodontist, Dr. Kieran Daly, completed his first triathlon along with Dr. Ronan Perry in Sligo over the August bank holiday weekend.
“It was tough but very enjoyable”, says Kieran. He went on to say “The weather wasn’t great but the water was nice and warm, which helped and I was just glad to finish my first triathlon”.
He arrived to work after the bank holiday weekend looking very pleased with himself. It was a great achievement and accomplishment. Well done Kieran and Ronan.
Our orthodontist, Dr. Kieran Daly, attended an orthodontic course in the Lake District in the UK last weekend.
It was a 2 day course and to clear their heads and freshen them up, they were brought on a hike were all the orthodontists also enjoyed the fresh air and viewed some beautiful scenery.
There’s no better way to recharge your batteries!
The Northern Cross Dental team had an “non uniform” day on Thursday 14th June and Monday 18th June to show our support for the Irish soccer team and to get into the Euro 2012 spirit. We all wore something Irish or green and we had a great 2 days doing it.
There was an electric atmosphere in the practice all day and the patients were also getting into the spirit of things by having a chat about the tournament when they were making their next appointment.
